Geography :Thailand lies in the heart of Southeast Asia with a land area of 513,115 sq. km. making it about the size of France or the American state of Texas. The country is bordered by Malaysia in the South, Myanmar in the West and North, Laos in the North and East and Cambodia in the Southeast. The country can be divided into four district regions, the northern mountains and forests areas, the Korat Plateau in the Northeast, the alluvial and rice fields of the Central Plains and the tropical islands and long coastline of the peninsula South.The country comprises 76 provinces that are further divided into districts, sub-districts and villages. |
